Bigscreen Begins Shipping Beyond 2 Headsets

- Bigscreen has begun shipping its Beyond 2 VR headset, following record-breaking demand and the expansion of its factory operations.
- Orders placed in March are now in transit, with shipments continuing through August to fulfill various configurations and upgrades.
Bigscreen has announced the initial shipment of its Beyond 2 headset, with the first production units now being delivered to customers. As part of the shipping announcement, the company stated that it expects to deliver more units in the next seven weeks than its typical yearly volume and has scaled operations to meet five times the shipment volume of 2023 or 2024.
The launch follows a spike in demand triggered by Beyond 2’s feature set—116° FOV, next-gen pancake optics, eyetracking, and a 107-gram form factor. Bigscreen revealed it sold more Beyond 2 units in 11 days than Beyond 1 did in all of 2023. To meet demand, the company expanded its Los Angeles manufacturing team and deployed engineers to global suppliers.

Orders are shipping in phases. Customers with March orders, special upgrade bundles, or accessories are prioritized for July delivery. Newer and Halo Mount configurations are scheduled for August and October delivery. A surprise upgrade also replaced pending Beyond 1 orders with Beyond 2 units at no additional cost.
🌀 Tom’s Take:
With Beyond 2 now shipping, this is big news for VR purists, sim racers, and social VR diehards. A lighter, high-fidelity headset built solely for PC VR means longer sessions, sharper visuals, and deeper immersion. Bigscreen is also pushing the boundaries of size, weight, and form factor, with standout cover designs like Crystal Clear and Carbon Black.
