  • Beep will launch shared autonomous vehicle services in Altamonte Springs and along the Atlanta Beltline, beginning in 2026.
  • The deployments use Karsan’s Autonomous e-JEST vehicles, automated by ADASTEC and managed with Beep’s AutonomOS platform.

Beep announced two new autonomous vehicle deployments set to launch in 2026 in Atlanta, Georgia, and Altamonte Springs, Florida. The services will run on Karsan’s production-grade Autonomous e-JEST vehicles, which combine ADASTEC’s Level-4 automated driving software with Beep’s remote management and orchestration system, AutonomOS. Damera Corp., Karsan’s North American distributor, will support the rollout.

“After completing more than 150,000 kilometers of proven real-world automated operations on open public roads and carrying 60,000 passengers safely, ADASTEC’s technology is ready for the next step,” said Dr. Ali Peker, CEO of ADASTEC, in an official news release.

In Atlanta, the deployment will introduce the city’s first fixed-route shared AV service along the Atlanta Beltline. The pilot is scheduled to begin ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and is designed to support people-first mobility with a focus on access and connectivity for residents and visitors.

In Altamonte Springs, shared AVs will be added to the city’s CraneRIDES program, creating a direct connection to the SunRail station and regional transit. The initiative expands what the city describes as "the first permanent AV program deployed by a U.S. city, setting a national precedent for integration of AVs into municipal transit systems."

“Altamonte Springs was proud to be the first city in America to launch a permanent autonomous vehicle program of this kind,” said Frank Martz, City Manager for the City of Altamonte Springs, in an official news release. “Now, we are building on that momentum and expanding our vision. This next phase goes beyond technology. It focuses on connecting communities, enhancing access and demonstrating what can happen when cities take the lead.”

🌀 Tom’s Take:

Both deployments bring autonomous shuttles into real public transit systems through fixed routes, city partners, and production-ready tech
