Augmentus Gains Backing from Applied Ventures to Expand AI-Driven Robotics

Augmentus, a robotics software company based in Singapore with operations in Austin, Texas, has announced a strategic investment from Applied Ventures, the investment arm of Applied Materials. Augmentus builds no-code automation software for industrial robots, which they describe as "designed to be both the eyes and the brains of industrial robots."
The company’s flagship product, the AutoPath robotics stack, combines 3D vision and real-time adjustments to guide industrial robots. It scans parts and environments to generate point clouds that map surface shapes and details. The system then turns that data into live motion paths, so robots can adjust their movements automatically. A no-code system, AutoPath removes the need for manual teaching or programming. It’s built for high-mix manufacturing, where parts and setups change often and traditional automation tools struggle to keep up.
Augmentus says the funding will accelerate its mission to bring adaptive robotics to high-mix, high-variability manufacturing. The company is focused on enabling robots to respond to complex and changing production environments.
