Augmentir Adds AR Capabilities to Boost Industrial Workforce Training and Support

- Augmentir has introduced a new Augmented Reality extension focused on immersive onboarding, real-time task guidance, and skills support.
- Manufacturers using the broader platform report major gains in productivity, safety, and onboarding speed.
Augmentir has added new Augmented Reality features to its platform for connected frontline work. The update is built to improve training, speed up onboarding, and deliver task-specific support on the job. It works alongside the company’s existing AI tools, giving workers immersive guidance without interrupting their normal workflows.
The AR extension builds on early prototypes from 2020 and focuses on high-impact use cases identified by customers. It helps accelerate onboarding by placing new hires in real equipment scenarios and supports complex or infrequent tasks with real-time guidance. The new features plug into Augmentir’s existing no-code environment, allowing companies to deliver step-by-step AR instructions as part of broader digital workflows.
Companies, including Colgate-Palmolive, Mondelez, and AkzoNobel, are using Augmentir’s platform to transform their frontline operations. Reported results include an 82% reduction in onboarding time, a 37% boost in productivity, and a 27% decrease in equipment downtime. The new AR capabilities are being showcased this week at the Augmented Enterprise Summit in Dallas.
