  • Vision Pro can now run graphics-heavy applications by streaming them from RTX-powered PCs or cloud systems using CloudXR 6.0.
  • The setup preserves full-resolution models and simulations, avoiding the need to simplify data for headset performance limits.

NVIDIA and Apple brought CloudXR 6.0 into visionOS, enabling Apple Vision Pro to stream from RTX-powered PCs or cloud systems. Applications such as 3D design tools and simulations run on those machines and are streamed into the headset. The result is high-resolution, real-time output inside Vision Pro without losing detail.

The system delivers 4K visuals, real-time response, and a fully immersive view inside Apple Vision Pro. With dynamic foveated streaming in CloudXR 6.0 and visionOS 26.4, resolution increases where the user is looking and scales down in the periphery to manage bandwidth. This allows high-fidelity 3D applications, like design tools, simulations, and large models, to run remotely on RTX systems and stream into the headset without losing visual quality.

Companies are already applying this across design and simulation workflows. Automotive groups, including BMW, Kia, Rivian, and Volvo, are using tools like Autodesk VRED to review vehicle models at full scale, while Roche and Foxconn are working with spatial layouts and factory environments before physical builds. In each case, teams can review models and environments at full scale and with full detail.

🌀 Tom’s Take:

This shifts digital twins and simulations from simplified models to full-fidelity systems that can be experienced as they are. Instead of adapting environments to fit the device, the device now taps into the system running them, making real-time interaction with complex designs, factories, and simulations far more practical.
