Agile Robots is acquiring the assets of systems manufacturer thyssenkrupp Automation Engineering in Europe and North America. The company stated that the acquisition will strengthen its position in next-generation smart automation solutions and open access to new growth markets. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval.

Agile Robots was established in 2018 as a spin-off of the German Aerospace Center and now has a workforce of over 2,500 people from around 60 countries. It has implemented robotic systems for clients in the automotive and consumer electronics sectors, with projects that have changed entire production lines. The company combines hardware, software, data, and internal manufacturing expertise, supported by a team of more than 1,000 specialists in AI and robotics. In 2024, revenue reached approximately 200 million euros, continuing a trend of doubling each year since its founding.

Once approved, the acquired business will operate as Krause Automation within the Agile Robots Group. The deal adds 650 employees and 10 new locations to the company’s network. Both organizations plan to develop modular automation systems and expand into sectors like medical technology, logistics, and consumer electronics.
