  • Adobe Aero will be removed from all app stores and Creative Cloud on November 6, 2025, with full decommissioning set for December 3, 2025.
  • All user data will be deleted from Adobe servers on December 16, 2025, and Aero scenes will stop functioning after the decommission date.

Adobe announced it will discontinue its Aero application on iOS, Android, and Creative Cloud Desktop starting November 6, 2025. On that date, the app will be removed from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and Creative Cloud, though existing installations will remain operational temporarily.

Adobe Aero, launched in November 2019, is an augmented reality tool that lets users create, share, and view interactive AR experiences without coding. The mobile and desktop app allowed users to import custom 2D, 3D, and audio assets into a simple visual workflow to add interactivity and publish AR experiences. Creations can be shared via links or QR codes and engaged with in the Aero app or as an app clip.

According to Adobe, the service will be fully decommissioned on December 3, 2025, at which point Aero scenes will no longer work for authors or viewers. Technical and customer support will also end on this date, and access to Aero files stored on Adobe’s servers will be disabled.

The company stated the following as the reason to end support: "Aero was developed with the goal of eventually being used with mixed reality glasses. The industry landscape for AR has changed since 2020. While Adobe is continuing to explore mixed reality, the team is choosing to focus its resources on alternative areas of development." They currently do not have a similar product with AR capabilities.

🌀 Tom’s Take:

Adobe’s wind-down of Aero marks the end of its first standalone AR creation tool, signaling a shift in focus for its immersive content strategy.
