Adobe has introduced Substance 3D Reviewer, a new tool built with Meta to help teams review 3D product models in immersive environments. Optimized for Meta Quest headsets, it allows users to view designs at full scale in VR or in a desktop browser.

Reviewer supports room-scale interaction and 1:1 spatial accuracy, giving teams a more realistic sense of fit, proportion, and context. This lets stakeholders, technical or not, assess materials, ergonomics, and design intent before anything is manufactured.

The system also enables collaborative feedback with voice or text comments pinned directly to model locations. Teams can work together in real time or asynchronously, with all feedback organized for easier approvals and fewer last-minute changes.

🌀 Tom’s Take:

Virtual reality takes product design to a whole new dimension, literally, and Adobe and Meta are harnessing that shift to improve how teams review their work. Dropping a 3D model into a shared virtual space gives designers and stakeholders a clearer, more realistic perspective, making design decisions faster and more informed.
