4AG Robotics Secures $40M Series B to Scale Robots Harvesting Mushrooms

4AG Robotics has closed a $40 million CAD Series B financing round to scale its autonomous mushroom harvesting technology. The funding was led by Astanor and Cibus Capital, with participation from Voyager Capital and several existing backers. This new capital brings the company's total raise to $57.5 million since 2023.

The company’s AI-powered system can harvest, trim, and pack mushrooms continuously, using precision suction and motion control without human labor. The robots are designed to integrate with existing Dutch-rack setups, enabling farms to maintain current infrastructure while cutting labor costs and improving consistency.

"We're not just building robots—we're building a new operating system for the mushroom industry," said Michelle Lim, VP of Growth at 4AG Robotics, in an official press release. "Growers want tech that works out of the box, delivers ROI in under three years, and scales globally. That's what we've built. And this funding gives us the fuel to move even faster."

With this investment, 4AG will expand manufacturing in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, grow its support teams, and advance features like disease detection and AI-driven yield optimization. More than 40 robots have already been reserved through customer deposits as 4AG prepares to expand into farms across Europe and the U.S.
